오늘 핀 꽃은 어제 핀 꽃이 아니다.

오늘의 나도 어제의 나가 아니다.

오늘의 나는 새로운 나이다.

묵은 시간에 갇혀 시간을 등지지 말라.

과거의 좁은 방에서 나와 내일이면 이 세상에 없을 것처럼 살라.

우리는 지금 살아 있다는 사실에 감사할 줄 알아야 한다.

이 삶을 당연히 여기지 말라. 

일기일회(一期一會)

단 한 번의 기회. 단 한 번의 만남.

이 고마움을 세상과 나누기 위해 우리는 지금 이렇게 살아가고 있다.

삶 자체가 되어 살아가라.

그것이 불행과 행복을 피하는 길이다.

삶을 소유물로 여기기 때문에 소멸을 두려워한다.

삶은 소유가 아니라 순간순간의 있음이다.

순간 속에서 살고, 순간 속에서 죽으라.

자기답게 살고, 자기답게 죽으라.

모든 것을 소유하고자 하는 사람은 어떤 것도 소유하지 않아야 한다.

모든 것이 되고자 하는 사람은 어떤 것도 되지 않아야 한다.

모든 것을 가지려면 어떤 것도 필요로 함 없이 그것을 가져야 한다.

버렸더라도 버렸다는 관념에서조차 벗어나라.

바람이 나뭇가지를 스치고 지나가듯 그렇게 지나가라.

우리에게는 그립고 아쉬운 삶의 여백이 필요하다.

무엇이든 가득 채우려고 하지 말라. 

우리는 너무 많은 것을 보고, 듣고, 불필요한 말을 쏟아내고 있다.

이런 때일수록 본질적인 삶을 살아야 한다.

하찮은 생각을 제쳐두고 삶의 본질에 눈을 돌려라.

그래야 인간으로서 당당하게 살 수 있다.

얻었다고 좋을 것도 없고, 잃었다고 기죽을 것도 없다.

괴롭고 힘든 일도 그때 그 곳에는 나름의 의미가 있다.

다 한때다.

그 의미를 안다면 고통스럽지 않다.

삶을 순간순간 맑은 정신으로 지켜보라.

그러면 행복에도 불행에도 쉽게 휩쓸리지 않는다.

한번 지나간 시간은 다시 오지 않는다.

그때그때 감사하게 누릴 수 있어야 한다.

다음을 기약할 수 없다.

모든 것이 일기일회(一期一會)다.

모든 순간은 생애 단 한 번의 시간이며

모든 만남은 생애 단 한 번의 인연이다.

지금을 어떻게 사는가가 다음의 나를 결정한다.

삶은 인간에게 주어진 길고 어려운, 그러나 가장 행복한 수행의 길.

매 순간 우리는 다음 생의 나를 만들어 가고 있다.
